Wayne Green Retires

Wayne Green, executive director, United Way Fraser Valley has announced his retirement effective July 14, 2016. Wayne has led United Way Fraser Valley for the past eight years.

Under Wayne’s strong, inspirational leadership, United Way Fraser Valley has grown to raise close to $1 million per year that is invested in agencies and programs to help people in the Fraser Valley. It’s estimated that one out of every three people in the Fraser Valley has sought help in the past year using a service connected to United Way.

Wayne has a long history with United Way. He was vice-president of United Way of Greater Victoria for six years and assistant director of United Way of the Lower Mainland for eight years.

Wayne Green is well respected in the business and social service community. In 2015, Pacific Community Resources Society award him with “Appreciation for Exceptional Support, Kindness and Outstanding Practice.” We couldn’t say it better.

We wish Wayne the best in his retirement.
