About United Way Fraser Valley

Serving the area from Aldergrove and Mission east to Boston Bar, United Way Fraser Valley (UWFV) covers a large geographic area with an equally large diversity in residents.

Last year’s campaign (2015) raised $892,923. Nearly 80 per cent of this total was generously donated by Fraser Valley employees.

The funds raised annually provide grants to 28 local community partners to ensure that there is a strong safety net of social services available to individuals in need throughout the community. Nearly one in three Fraser Valley residents use services the United Way supports.

United Way also provided $145,388 in priority grants that address the issues that the community has identified as the most critical:

  • Helping Kids Be All They Can Be
  • Moving People From Poverty To Possiblity
  • Building Strong Communities

Besides fundraising, United Way is also involved in community development. Bringing together like-minded people, groups, agencies, governments and businesses, UWFV is creating partnerships to invest in the future of our communities.
