A multi-service organization that supports programs such as daycare, a thrift store, meals on wheels, a food bank and bus service.

Established to meet specific community and social development needs in the Aldergrove community.

Ann Davis Transition Society

Provides shelter, support and counselling to battered women and their children in the Chilliwack, Hope and Agassiz areas.

Big Brothers and Big Sisters Upper Fraser Valley

Big Brothers Big Sisters goal is to prevent problems by helping young people develop the skills, self confidence and healthy social relationships they need to be successful. The programs use the magic of friendships with caring adult volunteers to make a real difference in children’s lives in the communities of Chilliwack, Agassiz/Harrison and Hope.

Big Brothers Big Sisters: Abbotsford, Mission, Ridge Meadows

Serving the Abbotsford, Mission and Ridge Meadows areas, Big Brothers helps boys from father-absent homes develop into responsible, well-adjusted adults. Big Sisters support one-on-one relationships between young girls and caring adult women for lasting relationships.

Chilliwack Community Policing Society

Coordinates the provision of community-based policing, counselling and support services to crime victims and assists residents to obtain knowledge and skills in prevention of crime.

Chilliwack and District Seniors' Resources Society

Serves seniors age 55 and over by providing information and referral, equipment and housing registries, home repair services, recreational activities, income tax preparation for low-income seniors, blood pressure clinics, a volunteer shopping program, garden plots, and a mall walking program. Also has an Adult Day Centre Program for seniors living alone or residing with caregivers, who would like a day of social activity.

Chilliwack Resource Centre

Provides information, career and employment counselling, income tax preparation and basic life skills support services to clients.

Chilliwack Restorative Justice and Youth Advocacy Association

One of the primary goals of this program is crime prevention through early intervention. Restorative Justice in Chilliwack holds offenders accountable, gives victims a voice, and encourages complete community involvement.

Chilliwack Society for Community Living

Provides social, recreational, and leisure opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities; adults living with elderly parents/family members or who have challenges in accessing community opportunities outside their day services. Staff supports clients in small group activities as directed by the individuals and their families; transportation to/from clients' homes also provided as necessary.

CNIB - B.C./Yukon Division

Promotes sight enhancement services of rehabilitation, communication skills, physical concept development and leisure.

Creative Centre Society for Mental Wellness

Creative Centre Society provides rehabilitation and recovery based programs, services and support for adults who live with severe and persistent mental health issues. They focus on wellness as opposed to illness and have a variety of core programs, including the Young Adults Group, Life Skills, Smoking Cessation groups and a variety of meaningful work opportunities for their clients.

Fraser Valley Brain Injury Association

Providing support and information to survivors of acquired brain injury, their families and other caregivers and to increase public awareness of brain injury and prevention.

Fraser Valley Child Development Centre

Provides services to children with developmental delays and/or special needs through teams of professionals that include physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, infant development and supported child development consultants and family support workers along with a variety of other professionals. FVCDC serves children and their families in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, Hope, Agassiz and surrounding areas.

Hope & Area Transition Society

Provides refuge for women and their children who are victims of physical or psychological abuse in the family, provides education programs to general public about family violence and promotes greater understanding of victims, and provides women who are victims of family violence with information on their options and choices of actions without prejudice or bias for or against those options and choices available to all women in this society.

John Howard Society of the Fraser Valley

Assists prisoners and their families by providing prison visitation, information, counselling and support. Programs include Kids Club and Family House which offers short-term accommodation for visitors.

M2/W2 Association

An association of Christian citizens who have come together for the purpose of providing a friendship-based resource ministry to people who are in prison in B.C. or, when feasible, who have recently been released to their immediate families.

Mission Association for Community Living

Assists people with developmental disabilities and families with children who require extra support. Specifically, MACL provides individual residential supports for over 65 people in group homes, apartments and family settings; education and support of 70 adults; and support over 60 families with children who require extra support in 25 preschools and daycare centres throughout Mission.

Mission Community Services Society

Offers a wide range of services oriented to help many people including infant/toddlers and seniors. Programs include: Crisis line; Meals on Wheels; Counselling Center; Teen Line; Christmas Bureau; Child & Youth Suicide Intervention; Seniors Connection; Grief Support Group; Food Center; Child Care Support & Referral.

Mission Hospice Society

Helps people cope with the end of their lives and continue to enjoy life, to complete unfinished tasks and understand fully all that is available and all that is happening. Also assists the family in coping with their loss.

Mission Literacy in Motion

Promotes awareness of community literacy needs, supports local agencies or groups with their literacy initiatives and initiates literacy projects where the need is identified by the community.

MSA Society for Community Living

Provides residential, day services and family support for adults with developmental disabilities.

Parent Support Services Society of BC

Focuses on the prevention of child abuse by improving communication, problem solving and parenting skills.

Sardis Doorway for Mothers and Children Society

Offers physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual support to single mothers with preschool children within the framework of the Christian faith. Services are provided free of charge.

St. John Ambulance

Enables Canadians to improve their health, safety and quality of life by providing training and community service. Assists in funding the Brigade Volunteers who provide free First Aid Services at any number of events where the general public is gathered, first aid and safety training for recreation, volunteers, and instructors. In addition, dog therapy volunteers visit individuals that are confined in extended, and long term care facilities.

Upper Fraser Valley Developmental Preschool Society

An integrated program for typical and special needs children between the ages of 3-5, offering an enriched and supportive environment.

West Abbotsford Community School Society

Provides a wide range of programs and services including kinder and childcare, preschool, literacy programs for young and old, an Adult Learning Centre, computer classes, recreational, educational and social programs and activities throughout the year, pre-teen and intergenerational programs.

Women’s Resource Society of the Fraser Valley

Offers supportive programs in Mission and Abbotsford for women and children who have experienced abuse. Some programs include counselling services, transition house facilities, outreach and referrals, pregnancy support and public education workshops.
